One of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the holiest Shiva temple in India, located on the western bank of the sacred Ganga river in Varanasi (Kashi). The golden spire is plated with 800 kg of gold donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The Kashi Vishwanath Corridor (2021) has transformed the temple complex.

One of the most revered Shakti Peethas, located in the Trikuta Mountains at 5,200 ft. The goddess is enshrined as three natural rock formations (Pindis) representing Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati. The 14 km trek from Katra is undertaken by millions of pilgrims annually.

Mumbai's most famous and wealthy temple, built in 1801. The swayambhu (self-manifested) idol of Lord Ganesha has a unique feature — the trunk is turned to the right (Siddha Vinayaka), which is considered extremely auspicious and rare. The temple attracts celebrities, politicians, and millions of devotees.

A masterpiece of Dravidian architecture with 14 towering gopurams (gateway towers) covered in thousands of colourful stucco figures. The temple complex spans 45 acres. Goddess Meenakshi (fish-eyed goddess) is the presiding deity, with Lord Sundareswarar (Shiva) as her consort.

One of the six abodes of Lord Murugan (Arupadai Veedu), situated atop the Sivagiri hill. The idol is made of Navapashanam (nine poisonous herbs) and is unique in the world. Devotees climb 693 steps or take the rope car to reach the hilltop temple.
